POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Billing Supervisor, the Billing & Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for providing support within the Enrollment and Billing function for daily operations. This position will manage the cash receipt function related to all product lines and member payments. The Billing & Payment Posting Specialist will assist in other general Enrollment & Billing duties as assigned.

 Cash Receipts:
  • Posts CHP/EP payments to member accounts on a daily basis.

  • Reconcile payment postings to bank deposits researching any discrepancies.

  • Work with Customer Operations and Enrollment to research and resolve member billing/payment inquiries.

  • Deposit member payments as needed.

  • Run daily reports to ensure all payments are posted and balanced to the deposit.

  • Daily scanning of member and provider checks to the appropriate bank accounts.

  • Process member refunds and unapplied payments.

 Billing:

 

  • Run monthly member and sponsor estimates for Medicaid, HARP, CHP, and EP.

  • Open AR rows when needed.

  • Review of monthly continuing invoices and binders before members are termed.

  • Process 820 error files for Medicaid and HARP.

  • Process Medicaid and HARP billing for nursing home and KICK.

  • Process Medicaid and HARP denials.



 


OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

- Assist in the training of interns, temps and new staff. Review work for quality and accuracy.

- Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
 
- Associates degree or equivalent coursework/experience required. 
-  Minimum of one year of Accounts Payable and/or Billing experience required.
-
Strong MS Excel, MS Outlook & MS Word experience required.
Team player as well as hands-on individual contributor.
- Good judgment, tact, flexibility, organization and planning skills.
- Strong people skills, including oral and written communications.
- Detail oriented and able to multitask.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with QNXT Software preferred.
- Prior Enrollment and/or Billing experience.
